Helen Leimonis is a Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists and an active member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Her exceptional academic foundation includes an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Biological Sciences from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Western Ontario. Uniquely positioned in healthcare, Helen is also an Ontario Certified Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, allowing her to bridge therapeutic and educational approaches in revolutionary ways.
Extensive Clinical Expertise
With over seventeen years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, Helen has developed comprehensive expertise working across the lifespan—from pediatrics and adolescents to adults and older adults. Her clinical experience encompasses a broad range of conditions including orthopaedic and musculoskeletal impairments, amputations, chronic pain, mental health conditions, neurological disorders, and acquired brain injuries in community settings.
Helen's assessment expertise includes conducting In-Home Assessments, Assessment of Attendant Care Needs, Functional Abilities Evaluations, Future Cost of Care Assessments, Ergonomic/Work-Site Assessments, and Cognitive and Physical Demands Analyses. This depth of knowledge allows her to provide comprehensive evaluations that capture the full spectrum of client needs.
