Meet The Innovative Team
The Innovative Advantage is that every member of our team is highly experienced. Innovative provides a unique service to clients, in that any of our clinicians have the expertise to produce the highest quality interventions and assessment reports. Our team collaborates on all clinical files to provide our clients and referral sources with the greatest outcomes.
Sheila is the owner, operator and a practicing Occupational Therapist on the Innovative team. She obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College. Prior to which, she graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Brock University.
Sheila has continued to develop her clinical skills through extensive continuing education and direct clinical practice. She formerly practiced Occupational Therapy services in the United States. She is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy. Sheila has over 12 years of clinical experience working in a variety of clinical settings. Her experience includes, but is not limited to, treatment of individuals who have sustained catastrophic neurological (including Acquired Brain Injury/Stroke), orthopaedic (including amputations, spinal cord injuries) and psychological/behavioural impairments.
Sheila is a seasoned assessor of function in a wide spectrum of environments and has testified at legal proceedings and has been deemed a qualified expert witness in the area of Occupational Therapy by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Financial Services Commission Ontario.
