Azrah Lavji
Manager of Occupational Therapy
Azrah Lavji is a certified occupational therapist who is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Azrah earned her double degree consisting of a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from D’Youville College. She has also obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University. Azrah is fluent in Gujarati and has clinical experience in a variety of roles including mental health, pediatrics, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation. Azrah is also certified in performing Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAEs). As an occupational therapist at Rehab First, Azrah provides therapy services in Oshawa and the surrounding areas. She provides physical, cognitive and affective assessment and treatment to enable return to daily activities at home and at work. She improves client’s functional independence through education, environmental modification and provision of assistive devices. Azrah is involved in discharge planning and collaborates with families and hospital staff to ensure a safe transition to home. She places strong emphasis on client centered practice, enabling clients to reach their full potential in their self-care, productivity, and leisure occupations.
